Fifty-one days. A week of silent familiarisation. And today, the words for what has been building.
The natural continuation
Stage 3 — the connection between the head and the coccyx — arrives as an evidence. Not as a break. As the logical continuation of everything that came before.
Oral grounding taught sliding. It showed that movement could activate from unexpected places — and that these new sources of initiation dissolve fixations. Stage 3 extends exactly that: becoming aware of movement from the head, then from the coccyx — and therefore from the pelvis — and beginning to perceive what lies between the two.
The reservoir expands further. New options appear. And if one integrates the already-known reptilian slide — the entire axis becomes available.
What the spine reveals
Everything that has accumulated as experience since Day 1 — movement practices, floor explorations, daily exercises — suddenly takes on a broader meaning.
One realises how much the spine suffers when mistreated. When the head is no longer balanced above the pelvis, it is the spine that compensates. It absorbs, it twists, it holds — until it no longer can. And around it, all the organs. Everything that lives between these two poles.
To recognise the axis is also to recognise everything that depends on it.
Between the two doors
An analogy revealed itself this week. To go from one place to another, there is a point of departure and a point of arrival — and between the two, a path. What do we do on that path?
This is exactly what the head and coccyx say. Two limits. Two contours. Two doors. They define the space. They define our axis, and through it, our form in space.
A wise voice has long posed this question: many people ask me what is the meaning of life. I always answer: there is no meaning to life — but how does one use life?
We enter through one door. We leave through another. What do we do between the two?
It is the same question the spine asks. The head on one side, the coccyx on the other. And between them: all the organs, all the life that circulates, all that we build, all that we cross. The spine is not simply a mechanical axis. It is the axis of what we are.
